CrowdStrike Falcon is used by thousands of companies worldwide to protect their data. A CrowdStrike spokesperson stated that the issue was likely caused by an anomalous interaction between the Falcon Sensor and a specific Windows update.

Resolution Instructions

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the directory C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike.
  2. Locate the file matching C-00000291.sys.
  3. Delete the file C-00000291.sys.

After completing these steps, restart your system. The issue should be resolved.
